In the Sumy region, the evacuation of settlements located at a distance of 5 and 10 kilometers from the contact line continues, and restrictions on staying in the 20-kilometer zone are also being introduced.

Volodymyr Artyukh, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, announced this.

Access will be limited in the 20-kilometer zone of the region.

«Representatives of the defense forces will control entry to designated areas of the border. The algorithm and procedure for the stay of civilians are currently being agreed upon. First of all, we do this to protect our defenders and to prevent the enemy from obtaining important information about the locations of the Defense Forces and their material support,» the message reads.

Despite the decrease in artillery and mortar shelling, the enemy is actively using guided aerial bombs and other aerial means of destruction.

«The number of applications of CABs has increased many times. If up to 400 such strikes were recorded in the first half of the year, then in the last 10 days alone there have been more than 200. The enemy is merciless, he destroys our infrastructure, but the worst thing is that he kills civilians,» said Volodymyr Artiukh.

Earlier, the head of the Yunakivka community, Olena Sima , spoke about the difficult situation in the border areas of the Sumy Oblast with the Russian Federation. Some residents refuse to evacuate, not wanting to leave their homes.
