During the shelling of Kyiv, the military shot down about 20 Russian missiles. Among them were Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers.

Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv military administration, announced this.

According to him, the air alert in the capital lasted for almost three hours. Rockets entered the capital in several waves from different directions,

«Approximately two dozen enemy missiles were hit by air defense forces and means over Kyiv and in the vicinity of the capital,» Serhii Popko noted.

It should be noted that as of 9:00 a.m. it is already known about nine wounded.

«Six people have already been hospitalized from a high-rise building in the Holosiivskyi district. Among them is a pregnant woman. Emergency services are on site. Two more victims were hospitalized in the Dnipro district. And the medics provided assistance to one on the spot,» said city mayor Vitalii Klychko.
