Almost three times as much new housing was completed as last year in the Mykolaiv region

In the first quarter of 2026, almost three times as many new homes were completed in the Mykolaiv region as in the same period last year.

This is according to data from the Main Department of Statistics in the Mykolaiv region, NikVesti reports.

Thus, the total area of housing commissioned in January–March 2026 in the Mykolaiv region amounted to 15,100 square metres, which is 2.8 times more than during the same period in 2025.

Developers commissioned 155 flats with an average area of 97.2 square metres.

According to statistics, the largest amount of housing was built in the Mykolaiv district — 10,800 square metres, accounting for 72% of the total area.

It was previously reported that the building of the former University of Culture in the centre of Mykolaiv is on sale for $1.1 million.
