Mykolaiv will receive 24 million hryvnias from the state budget. These funds will be used, among other things, to purchase equipment that will ensure the city's vital activity during the heating season.
This was announced by the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, during a conversation with journalists, according to NikVesti.
As you know, the government has allocated almost 70 million hryvnias to Mykolaiv region for «priority needs». Mykolaiv will receive 24 million hryvnias of this amount, the mayor said.
«Mykolaiv has been allocated 24 million hryvnias. The money will be spent on winterisation, fuel and equipment to ensure the city's vital functions during the heating season. Unfortunately, we cannot use these funds to pay salaries to public sector employees and utility bills,» said the mayor.
It is worth reminding that the regional budget will receive 40 million hryvnias out of 68.8 million hryvnias, and 28.8 million hryvnias will be allocated to four communities in the region: Halytsynove village, Horokhivka village, Mykolaiv city and Pervomaisk settlement.
The funds can be used for the key needs of the frontline regions, including
- construction and arrangement of shelters;
- urgent emergency repair and restoration works;
- construction materials to restore damaged facilities;
- repair of heat, gas, water, sewage, heating and power grids;
- protection of critical infrastructure facilities.
It was also reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine would allocate one billion hryvnias to eliminate the consequences of Russian shelling in the frontline regions. The aid will be provided to 93 communities, including those in Mykolaiv region.
The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitalii Kim, said that part of the 70 million hryvnias for the region would be spent on fuel, materials for reconstruction work and the purchase of an electronic warfare system.
