Mykolaiv has expanded the programme of compensation for the repair of networks in apartment buildings: now the costs of heating networks will also be reimbursed.
The decision was made by the city council deputies at a session on 29 May, NikVesti reports.
According to Ihor Nabatov, deputy director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services, compensation is now available for the repair of heating systems. Previously, it was only about water supply and sewerage.
«The programme was adopted in 2023 and has proven to be very positive. About 200 homes have already received compensation for repairs. Another 150 houses have already completed repairs and are waiting for 50% of the cost of the work to be reimbursed,» said Ihor Nabatov.
According to him, the total cost of the repairs amounted to over 6.2 million hryvnias, of which over 3.1 million hryvnias has already been reimbursed from the city budget. As of now, more than 6 million hryvnias is still available for the programme.
«So far this year, about 500 thousand hryvnias has been used. This is because our reimbursement falls into the third stage of funding. But we have already prepared payments for about 2 million hryvnias more,» added Ihor Nabatov.
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych urged the city residents to join the programme:
«The programme is good, it works. I am grateful to the deputies who support it financially. And I want to emphasise that it applies not only to condominiums. Private management companies can also participate, repair their networks and not spend money on emergencies,» said Oleksandr Senkevich.
The programme will run until 2025 inclusive. The decision was voted unanimously by 38 deputies.
Under the programme, reimbursement will be made for the repair of only those networks located in the basements of buildings and does not apply to the distribution of apartments. The amount of reimbursement is 50% of the total cost of works and materials, but not more than 150 thousand hryvnias.
The programme is open to both condominiums and management companies. After the programme is approved, they will need to apply to the Department of Housing and Communal Services and provide a defect report with the scope of work and cost estimates.
