The private joint-stock company «Kherson Bakery», which was once one of the leading employers and the largest taxpayer in the region, is up for sale. The company was declared bankrupt last year.

Data on the sale is published in the system «ProZorro.Sale».

The auction to sell the property is scheduled for 4 April. The starting price is 20.9 million hryvnias. The assets up for sale include production and administrative premises with an area of over 8,000 square metres, warehouses, garages, a boiler house, baking equipment, refrigeration units, computer equipment and other elements of production infrastructure.

It is also stated that the property is located in an area subject to constant shelling by the Russians, so buyers are asked to be as careful as possible when inspecting the property.

The Kherson Regional State Administration reported that before the full-scale war, the Kherson Bakery held 40% of the bread and bakery market in the region. The company was the largest employer and taxpayer in Kherson region. After the liberation of the right bank of Kherson region, the company was unable to resume operations.

In early November 2024, the Commercial Court of Odesa Region declared PJSC «Kherson Bakery» bankrupt and started liquidation proceedings. This information was published in the court register.

According to the data, the company has accumulated accounts payable in the amount of 23.45 million hryvnias, while the total value of its assets is only 9.59 million hryvnias. It was impossible to restore the company's financial stability due to a lack of assets, funds and interested investors.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv City Council plans to sell 114 municipal property objects through an auction. These include former boiler houses, architectural monuments and non-residential premises.

Ramil Ahabekov, the new head of the «Servant of the People» faction in the Mykolaiv City Council, supports the initiative to put these properties up for sale to reduce the city's financial burden and to send the proceeds to the military.
