More than 200 people in Mykolaiv came to the rally of families of missing and captured persons

In Mykolaiv, more than two hundred people joined the weekly action «Don't be silent — captivity kills» to remind the public about Ukrainian soldiers who are in captivity or missing.

According to «Suspilne», the participants stood for an hour on Tsentralnyi Avenue, calling on drivers to support the families of the defenders with signals.

On the boulevard part of the avenue, posters, brigade flags and photos of missing soldiers could be seen. Among the participants was Svitlana, who has been looking for her husband for several months.

«He went missing on 5 July 2025 near the village of Novoekonomichne, Donetsk region, Pokrovsk district. Today we do not know where our husband is, whether he is in captivity,» the woman said.

Another participant of the action, Olena, has been waiting for news about her brother, who disappeared in the same area, for six months.

«Nothing is known. Different information, but not the information we need. We are looking, waiting, believing in his return alive,» she said.

According to the dialogue police, more than 200 people took part in the action, forming a «living circle» at the end of the event.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine had returned another 185 defenders and 20 civilians from Russian captivity.
