Missing persons are individuals whose whereabouts are unknown due to war, military actions, natural disasters, or other circumstances. In the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, the issue of missing persons includes both civilians and military personnel. According to international organizations and Ukrainian authorities, tens of thousands of people in Ukraine have been reported missing since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Families of the missing and captives can receive updates through special services like "Diia," as well as through the efforts of law enforcement and international organizations. In Mykolaiv and the region, support actions, cultural events, and initiatives for searching for the missing are actively organized.
