The Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR) is an international non-governmental organization that supports journalists, activists, and independent media in conflict zones, transitional democracies, and authoritarian regimes. IWPR works to amplify local voices, ensure access to reliable information, promote democratic development, and strengthen civil society through independent journalism.

In 2025, the editorial team of NikVesti is implementing a project in partnership with IWPR aimed at enhancing public oversight of local authorities. The initiative involves producing materials that explain decisions made by local self-government bodies, analyze the use of public funds, and encourage citizens to participate in democratic processes at the local level.
