The NikVesti project within the FAIR programme aims to provide residents of Mykolaiv and surrounding communities with timely, fact-based information on reconstruction, local governance, and the functioning of critical services. Under this initiative, the newsroom will produce and publish socially important content that responds to the region’s critical information needs during wartime.
The project also strengthens NikVesti’s financial sustainability by improving monetisation mechanisms: enhancing advertising offerings, engaging potential business partners, expanding the NikVesti Club membership model, and launching a line of branded merchandise integrated into the annual subscription system. This approach combines strong editorial output with the development of stable, independent revenue streams.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union as part of the FAIR Media Ukraine programme, delivered by Internews International in partnership with the Media Development Foundation.
