Local Media Relaunch Initiative is a project launched by the Media Development Foundation (MDF) to support independent regional media in Ukraine, especially in frontline, de-occupied and temporarily occupied regions. The goal of the initiative is to provide Ukrainians with access to quality and verified information, as well as support journalists in their work in these difficult conditions. The program is aimed at giving newsrooms the opportunity to work independently of oligarchs or authorities, influencing processes in communities through the creation of important content.
The editors of the online media "NikVesti" participated in this initiative, which allowed our media to receive financial support for the development and expansion of the team, technical assistance, as well as access to mentoring programs. As part of the project, we received training in media management, developed a strategy for editorial development, content planning, and financial strategies. This helped us to update our online platform and strengthen our position in the information space of the region.
The project also provides training opportunities in the field of modern media tools and content distribution, helping newsrooms adapt to the challenges of war and post-war reconstruction.
As part of the "NikVesti" program, rebranding was carried out, a new design and identity were developed.
