Rustem Umerov is a Ukrainian politician, businessman, and public figure of Crimean Tatar origin. Born on April 19, 1982, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, his family returned to Crimea in 1991 after deportation.

Career and Achievements:

Elected as a Member of Parliament of Ukraine from the "Holos" party in 2019.
In 2020, contributed to the development of a strategy for the de-occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol.
Headed the State Property Fund of Ukraine from September 2022.
Appointed Minister of Defense of Ukraine in September 2023.
