Varvarivskyi Bridge is a strategically important road and rail bridge over the Southern Bug River in the city of Mykolaiv, connecting the city center with the Varvarivka district and major highways leading westward. As one of Mykolaiv’s two main bridges, it serves as a critical transportation hub for vehicles, cargo, and passengers. The bridge features a unique drawbridge section, allowing vessels to pass en route to Mykolaiv’s port. In recent years, the bridge has required substantial repairs due to heavy traffic and wear. During wartime, Varvarivskyi Bridge holds strategic importance for the city's defense and for maintaining logistical routes.
