In the event of a fire in the Mykolaiv region, it is crucial to immediately call 101 to receive assistance from rescuers. Follow these tips to help prevent fires:

  • Do not leave electrical appliances or open flames unattended.
  • Avoid lighting campfires in forests or open areas.
  • Store flammable materials in safe locations, away from heat sources.
  • If you encounter smoke or a fire, try to evacuate, closing the door tightly behind you.

In the first half of 2023, more than 10,000 fires were recorded across Ukraine, including 68 forest fires in the Mykolaiv region. These fires damaged 151.6 hectares of forests, further complicating the safety situation due to ongoing hostilities and shelling.
