The House of Culture in the village of Pervomaiske in Mykolaiv region survived 10 Russian strikes during the full-scale war. Before the last drone attack, the building was planned to be restored, but on May 9 of this year, Russian drones turned it into ashes.

The director of the cultural center, Mykola Levkivskyi, told NikVesti that the fate of the cultural center is not yet known, and a commission is working on the spot.

«There were 10 hits in this building, but it so happened that only the sports hall burned down, and the building basically survived. And already on May 9 at 2:18 a.m., one drone arrived, 4 minutes later two more in a doublet, that's how the tragedy happened,» said the director of the institution.

He noted that the cultural center resumed its work after the departure of the Russian military in November 2022: new windows and doors were installed in the building, the collectives resumed their work, and the library started working.

After the Russian attack on May 9, the large auditorium suffered the most.

«This stage has seen many local artists, visiting artists, and unfortunately, this is the picture today. When the war began, this hall was already in a state of emergency, there were 10 flights here, but it was subject to restoration. There was a technical examination, where it was directly indicated that the building is subject to restoration,» said Mykola Levkivskyi.

He emphasized that benefactors from Denmark are ready to restore the building. However, now it is not known whether the cultural center is subject to restoration at all.

«We have already communicated with the Danish charitable organization, which has already begun preparing an estimate for the restoration of the building. But unfortunately, we do not yet know what the verdict will be today,» noted the director of the institution.
