Former adviser to the Office of the President, Artem Shylo, was taken into custody with a bail of 30 million hryvnias. He is suspected of organizing procurement schemes for «Ukrzaliznytsia».

The decision to arrest was made by the judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court, Kateryna Sikora, reports the Anti-Corruption Center.

In case of posting bail, Artem Shilo will have to stay away from Kyiv, not to communicate with other suspects, SSU employees and other persons, in particular the head of OP Andrii Yermak, his deputy Oleh Tatarov, Deputy Prime Ministers Oleksandr Kamyshin and Oleksandr Kubrakov regarding the circumstances of the criminal proceedings.

He must also refrain from visiting the premises of «Ukrzaliznytsia», the President's Office, hand in foreign passports, and wear an electronic bracelet.

Earlier, the law enforcement officers reported that they had exposed the organizers of a scheme to seize 94.8 million hryvnias for the purchase of transformers at inflated prices in JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia». According to the investigation, from June to December 2022, the leader of the group, through controlled officials of «Ukrzaliznytsia», ensured the selection of a predetermined company as a supplier of power transformers at an inflated cost.
