Due to the weather conditions in Ukraine, the shortage of electricity has increased again.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo on June 4.

«Today, the deficit in the power system is somewhat larger than yesterday. The reasons are an increase in the level of consumption due to the use of air conditioners, cloud cover, which prevents the operation of solar power plants, as well as a decrease in the volume of electricity imports from European countries,» the report says.

It is reported that electricity consumption limits apply in all regions of Ukraine during the day. If they are exceeded, oblenergo uses schedules of hourly outages for industrial and household consumers.

Today, Ukraine will import electricity during the day from Romania, Poland, Hungary and Moldova.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that deficits in the energy system are expected in Ukraine during the summer, their peak may fall on July.

Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Center for Energy Research, suggested that even if certain damage to the power generation is eliminated, Ukrainians will live with a shortage of electricity for the next two years.
