32 Ukrainian media representatives are in Russian captivity

As of the beginning of May, 32 representatives of the Ukrainian media are in Russian captivity. Currently, negotiations are underway for their return.
This was reported by at. Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostislav Karandieiev.
The official noted that the ministry is already preparing a budget declaration for next year, which will have a serious emphasis on financial support for regional media, in particular print media.
Also in at. the minister spoke about the activities of the Telegram and TikTok channels. According to him, there are currently about 350 hostile accounts, while several dozen of them have already been blocked.
We will remind that in November 2023 at least 25 Ukrainian journalists are in Russian captivity. Among them are Crimean Tatar citizen journalists and those detained in the temporarily occupied territories.
