Snihurivka community received cars for the transportation of people with disabilities: they were purchased with EU funds

The Snihurivka community in the Mykolaiv region received a specialized vehicle for the transportation of people with reduced mobility.

The handover ceremony took place the other day in Kyiv, the head of the Snihurivka city military administration, Ivan Kukhta, said.

The cars were purchased within the «Special Support Program of  Ukraine/EU4ResilientRegions» and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH) with funding from the German government and the European Union.

Their presence will contribute to the creation of an inclusive environment for community residents who cannot use public transport due to their health, said the head of the MBA.

A total of 31 specialized vehicles were purchased for communities in 9 regions of Ukraine, of which 29 vehicles were purchased with funds from the German government and 2 from the European Union.

We will remind that yesterday, July 11, the transfer of so-called "social taxis» to communities was announced by the representation of the European Union in Ukraine.
