The Norwegian Refugee Council has set up an educational institution in the village council building in the village of Bilozirka in the Mykolaiv region.

This is reported on the organization's Facebook page.

Bilozirka was occupied for a week and a half in March 2022 and remained on the front line for eight months.

Among the destroyed and damaged infrastructure was a two-story village council building with a basement. The community decided to restore the institution and continue to use it as a school.

With the financial support of the European Union, NRC renovated the second floor and prepared a safe and comfortable learning environment for the children.

In March 2023, NikVesti showed how more and more people are returning to the village of Bilozirka, mutilated by Russian shelling.

As a reminder, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been present in Ukraine since 2014. However, since the beginning of the Great War, the organization has significantly expanded its activities and opened offices in six more cities, including Mykolaiv. Currently, the NRC representative office in Ukraine provides support to forcibly displaced people and people affected by the war: food, housing, water, improvement of sanitary conditions, financial and legal assistance.
