Water, laughter, traffic lights, a military band and firefighters: the musical travel show showed how Mykolaiv sounds

The new issue of the second season of the musical travel show «How the world sounds...Ukraine» was dedicated to Mykolaiv. Composer Yevhen Filatov and his team visited the city and presented his vision of a musical portrait of Nikolaev.

The release can be viewed on the UkrYoutubProjekt channel.

As part of the project «How the world sounds...Ukraine», musician and composer Yevhen Filatov (The Maneken, Onuka) collects the sounds of Ukrainian cities and turns them into melodies. In the new release, he used the sounds of everyday life in Mykolaiv: the noise of passing cars, the bells of trams, as well as unexpected moments when a trolleybus stops at a stop and a military band sounds.

«Today, an exciting journey awaits you from the sounds of traffic lights to unexpected concerts in a tram, where a military band performs. During this journey, you will hear a variety of sounds: the melody of traffic lights, the harmonious chords of a military band, the disturbing sounds of air alarms and the gentle whisper of water that speaks of life and unrestrainedness. You will also meet the magical sound of the trunk pipe, joyful children's laughter and exciting moments of the theater festival on the stage in the shelter. Feel the grandeur and harmony during the performance of the Performance Big Band Orchestra,» the authors of the project noted.

The video shows the importance of cultural life in the city, the show team notes.

«It reminds us that every city has its own rhythm and melody, which shape its character and reflect its soul,» the authors add.
