The inspector of the border service is suspected of selling the passers-by a card for permission to travel through the transit zone of the Odesa-Reni route.

Near the border, the men abandoned their cars and fled, the State Bureau of Investigation reported.

According to the investigators, the accomplice was looking for «clients», and the border guard was selling cards. Each cost a thousand dollars.

It is noted that the border guard was detained at the end of April after receiving funds from other fugitives who were stopped at the border. His accomplice was found with a dozen transit cards for organizing the crossing of another group of evaders.

An employee of the State Border Service was informed of the suspicion of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 9 years in prison.

It will be recalled that a native of Luhansk, who served in the DPSU, will be tried in absentia as a Russian agent who, since 2014, has been passing on information to the occupiers about the location of Ukrainian troops.
