A resident of Transcarpathia tried to illegally transport a conscript abroad. Photo: State Border Guard ServiceBorder guards, together with law enforcement officers, detained a resident of Transcarpathia who wanted to smuggle a man from the Volyn region to Romania.
This is reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that the services of a 21-year-old resident of Teresva cost $3,500. The man was detained after handing him part of the agreed amount.
During the search of the place of events, the place of residence and the vehicle of the Transcarpathian, law enforcement officers discovered and seized items and materials that could become evidence of his illegal activities.
Law enforcement officers detained the smuggler under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The man faces imprisonment for 7 to 9 years.
