In the Domanivka territorial community, the condition of the roads is deteriorating. Residents complain that they have to travel along dirt tracks, so they are appealing to the authorities and road maintenance services to fill in the potholes until repairs can be carried out.

A video showing the state of the roads in the Domanivka community was posted on Facebook by Vasyl Shchedrov.

He noted that the roads in the former Domanivka district have fallen into disrepair.

«As time goes by, nothing changes, whether in peace or in war: the state of the roads in the Domanivka territorial community now leaves much to be desired. Coming here a few times a year – or rather, getting here – is becoming harder and harder… Of the three roads that were once of international importance, only the routes remain, as it is extremely difficult to call them roads,» wrote Vasyl Shchedrov.

According to him, residents are forced to travel along dirt tracks.

«Those who do not live permanently in Domanivka have to travel practically along dirt tracks to the former district centre, and as for the residents themselves, who have been forced to live like this for years, one simply feels sorry for them,» the man added.

He showed the condition of the descent from Koshivska Hill, which had previously been repaired, but is now once again covered in potholes.

«There is still some surface left at the top of the descent, but no more than half, and beyond that it’s just a nightmare… it’s extremely difficult to get there from either the Domanivka or the Prybuzhzhia side. There are deep potholes all over the road surface, and nobody is doing anything about it at all,» remarked the local resident.

He also pointed out that the roads to Domanivka from all directions are in poor condition, and appealed to local authorities and road services to at least fill the potholes with crushed asphalt.

Viktor Vlasiuk, head of the Domanivka village council, told NikVesti that the video refers to roads of national importance.

«We are constantly appealing to the Restoration Service and the regional administration. Everyone is aware of this problem. Both of these are state roads. We are trying to repair, at our own expense, only those roads that belong to the community,» replied Viktor Vlasiuk.

NikVesti sent a request to the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Mykolaiv region regarding road repairs in the Domanivka community.

As a reminder, the Domanivka community plans to announce a tender for the construction of the first phase of a new water supply pipeline by the end of May. For now, the plan involves a 7-kilometre supply network to Domanivka.
