The online media outlet NikVesti has once again been included in the all-Ukrainian Map of Recommended Media, which is compiled by the Institute of Mass Information and Detector Media. Thus, the publication became one of the five from Mykolaiv region included in the updated list.

This is evidenced by the results of the fourth wave of the Map, which includes 253 media outlets from all regions of Ukraine, which is 48 more than last year.

«For us, this is not just a «decorative label», but a confirmation of a simple principle: we work honestly, fact-check our information, separate news from opinion, and do not sell trust. We thank our readers for their support and attention to our work. We continue to do what we do best — explain, verify and talk about the important things in Mykolaiv and the region,» commented Kateryna Sereda, editor-in-chief of NikVesti.

Currently, the Map covers 193 online media outlets, 8 regional investigative journalism centres, 21 radio stations and 31 TV channels from all regions of the country.

The largest number of recommended media outlets is concentrated in Kyiv and Kyiv region — 31 publications. The top five regions also include Odesa region, which is represented by 14 media outlets. In Mykolaiv region, 8 media outlets were included in the map, and in Kherson region — 7.

In particular, five online media outlets, one investigative journalism centre, one TV channel and one radio station were included in the list of recommended media in Mykolaiv region.

The assessment was conducted by experts from NGOs «Institute of Mass Information» (IMI) and «Detector Media» (DM). The monitoring covered the period of October-November 2025 and was carried out according to a methodology containing 14 evaluation indicators, including transparency of work, compliance with professional standards and journalistic ethics. The online media were analysed by IMI experts, while radio and TV channels were analysed by experts from the State Media.

The project «Map of Recommended Media» is implemented with the support of the European Union and aims to support Ukrainian media that work in accordance with high journalistic standards. Thanks to the self-application system, participation in the project is also available to small and niche publications. The next wave of monitoring is scheduled for April-May 2026.
