Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, archive photo from the session of the Mykolaiv City Council, 31 October/NikVestiMykolaiv region will allocate almost 69 million hryvnias in additional subsidies from the state budget to strengthen its defence capabilities and protect critical infrastructure. Part of the funds will be spent on the purchase of fuel, materials for reconstruction work and the purchase of an electronic warfare system.
This was reported on «News.Live» by Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
This is a state subsidy of 68.8 million hryvnias. According to the head of the regional military administration, these funds will be used for defence needs and preparation for a difficult winter.
«It's not a linear story where these funds will go. These are additional resources that will be used for the defence of the region. Because we are preparing for a bad winter, we will also buy fuel materials for reconstruction work. This will increase our capacity. Nevertheless, we are uniting with all communities and are now working to purchase additional systemic electronic warfare equipment that will protect critical infrastructure and our communities. There are developments in this regard», said Vitalii Kim.
He also noted that the situation with budget revenues is currently extremely tense. Nevertheless, the budget surplus of the communities and the region will be used to protect and ensure stability in the winter.
«The budget surplus of the communities and the regional budget will be used for the physical and electronic protection of our critical infrastructure so that we have everything we need this winter,» says Vitalii Kim.
It is worth reminding that the regional budget will receive 40 million hryvnias out of 68.8 million hryvnias, and 28.8 million hryvnias will be allocated to four communities in the region: Halytsynove village, Horokhivka village, Mykolaiv city and Pervomaisk settlement.
The funds can be used for the key needs of the frontline regions, including
— construction and arrangement of shelters;
— urgent emergency repair and restoration works;
— construction materials to restore damaged facilities;
— repair of heat, gas, water, sewage, heating and power grids;
— protection of critical infrastructure facilities.
It was also reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine would allocate one billion hryvnias to eliminate the consequences of Russian shelling in the frontline regions. The assistance will be provided to 93 communities, including those in Mykolaiv region.
