This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
It is noted that several decisions have been made to improve the organisation and coordination of mine action. In particular, non-technical surveys of agricultural areas will primarily be carried out by government mine action operators. To date, 41 units of the security and defence forces have been certified to carry out such work. If necessary, non-profit organisations working in the field of mine action will also be able to be involved.
«The implementation of these decisions will ensure effective coordination between all mine action actors, which is critical to guaranteeing the high quality of demining and improving public safety», the ministry stressed.
Earlier, NikVesti told how deminers are clearing Mykolaiv region of explosive ordnance. It should be noted that in the village of Stepova Dolyna, Mykolaiv region, the consequences of Russia's military aggression left dozens of destroyed houses and thousands of hectares of mined areas.
