Pivdenoukrainsk authorities are planning to approve the city's brand book. Among the symbols used in it are a falcon, sabers, a city on rocks, a heart, the island of Gard, a guardian, and a church.
The relevant draft decision was published on the website of the South Ukrainian City Council, according to NikVesti.
The city logo is a mosaic of impressions. It is created in the shape of a heart, which combines the following symbols:
- The falcon is a Cossack symbol of sun and light, victory and superiority, protection and freedom;
- Crossed sabers as a symbol of the heroic Cossack past of this area;
- The city, which is located on the rocky bank of the Southern Bug River above a sandy beach;
- A schematic representation of the island of Gard on the water in the shape of the letter «G» (Gard);
- A recognisable landmark of the area — a berehynia and a church carved into the rock above the river.
The main colour palette is amber, green and blue.
According to the draft decision, the brand book should help shape and spread a positive image of Pivdenoukrainsk in Ukraine and abroad, and increase its cultural, tourist, economic and social potential.
As a reminder, Pivdenoukrainsk plans to dismantle and restore a number of memorials to bring them in line with Ukrainian legislation and state language standards.
