Zelenskyy ready to join Trump-Putin meeting in Budapest

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called the Kremlin leader a terrorist, but expressed his readiness to come to the Hungarian capital, where Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to meet.
He said this in an interview with NBC News.
«If we really want to achieve a just and lasting peace, we need both sides of this tragedy. How can there be any agreements without us and about us?», Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He said he had already informed the US President of his readiness to join his meeting with Putin in the Hungarian capital.
The President also said that Donald Trump should put more pressure on the Russian dictator than he did on Hamas during the recent ceasefire in Gaza. According to him, Vladimir Putin is stronger than the Middle East terrorists.
The Ukrainian leader also added that peace talks should take place quietly, not «under the guns and drones of».
Asked whether Donald Trump could end the Russian-Ukrainian war, Volodymyr Zelenskyy replied: «Yes, fingers crossed».
As a reminder, during a phone call this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded that US President Donald Trump demand that Ukraine cede full control of Donetsk region to Russia as a condition for ending the war.
