The government has allocated 1.5 billion hryvnias to Ukraine's frontline regions to strengthen the protection of energy facilities and restore infrastructure after Russian attacks. The list of such regions includes Mykolaiv region.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a meeting with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

«The government has allocated an additional 1.5 billion hryvnias to the frontline regions to protect energy facilities. We have formed a reserve of equipment for the prompt restoration of power supply, and we will increase this reserve,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The meeting also reviewed the situation in the gas sector — the volume of reserves and supply to the population. In the near future, the Government will adopt a resolution that will maintain a fixed price for natural gas for household consumers.

In addition, a moratorium has been introduced on disconnecting consumers from the power supply in frontline communities.

«A decision has also been made to impose a moratorium on disconnecting consumers in frontline communities from the power supply. Despite all the challenges, we must support the communities that are facing the most difficulties,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President instructed the government to prepare proposals to increase teacher salaries and strengthen support for internally displaced persons. The relevant reports are expected at the end of the week.

«It is important to have tangible results in supporting internally displaced persons. I expect government officials to report on these two issues at the end of this week,» the President said.

Earlier it was reported that Mykolaiv would not be able to complete the project for the construction of block-modular boiler houses, for which the government has allocated 1.1 billion hryvnias, before the start of the heating season.
