The largest training centre for the Ukrainian military, Camp Jomsborg, has been opened in Poland.

It can accommodate up to 1,200 servicemen at a time, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported.

The centre was created with the support of European partners, including Norway. Ukrainian military personnel will be trained here, and combat experience will be exchanged between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO countries. The training will include, among other things, working with drones and methods of countering them.

The decision to establish the centre was made in May 2025, and its grand opening took place on 1 October. The facility is located at one of the Polish Army's training grounds.

The centre currently employs 250 Norwegian instructors. In the near future, they will be joined by military personnel from Estonia and other NATO member states.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Polish anti-drone units would receive training from Ukrainian operators to strengthen their defence against Russian attacks.

According to him, it is Ukraine that has «the best equipment for fighting drones and much deeper and more relevant experience in the war with Russia».
