The municipal enterprise «Mykolaivelectrotrans» wants to create a museum of public transport after the war.

This was announced during a live broadcast by the company's director Yurii Smetana.

The idea to create the museum arose before the full-scale invasion, the official said. The plan was to use the equipment that was preserved on the territory of the depot, because most of the exhibits that worked in Mykolaiv 70-100 years ago have not survived.

«We wanted to create such a museum before the war started. Unfortunately, a lot of exhibits and equipment that was used in Mykolaiv 70-100 years ago have not survived. It is not available, but we already wanted to make something out of what is available on the territory of the depot. We were thinking of making a tourist trolleybus. We will return to this after we win, where we will use the trolleybuses and the oldest trams in the depot. The museum will also be connected to the war, what we did, how we helped. But all this will happen after the war is over,» said Yurii Smetana.

As a reminder, last year, Municipal Enterprise «Mykolaivelektrotrans» started conducting tours of the enterprise for citizens and guests.
