If decisions are made to reorganise medical institutions in Mykolaiv and merge them, male doctors will lose their mobilisation reservations
This was stated by the head of the Healthcare Commission of the Mykolaiv City Council, Hanna Nord, at a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council's Commission on Publicity, Legality and Deputy Ethics, according to NikVesti.
Hanna Nord explained to the audience that reforming medical institutions carries risks. One of them concerns men who work in medical institutions and will lose their bookings.
«Almost all hospitals will be in chaos. What does the termination of legal entities mean? The identification number of the company is closed. As soon as the number is closed, martial law is immediately introduced and all bookings for all employees in these hospitals are cancelled. And this will last for several months at best. When we merged maternity hospital №1, a small maternity hospital, into hospital №1, the reorganisation process was completed only this month (the process began in August 2023, — note) Just count how many years our hospitals will be in chaos? These are people without armour, this is a change in all documents», the MP said.
In addition, she noted that after the merger of hospitals, some of the medical packages «will go up», because they are contracted only once a year. In this regard, citizens will not be able to receive services.
«I asked my commission (the Healthcare Commission of the Mykolaiv City Council), I asked with a protocol order to provide me with calculations of what will happen when we merge the hospitals, what packages will be, where and what will be located, what will be the revenues — they say it is impossible», added Hanna Nord.
She addressed the deputies and suggested that together with the representatives of the Mykolaiv Oblast Administration, they first sit down and decide on the structure of the hospital district, calculate everything, and only then make a decision.
«Dear friends, first we need to plan, agree, and then deal with destruction and reform», summed up Hanna Nord.
It should be noted that as part of the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 174 on the formation of a capable network of medical institutions, three cluster hospitals are planned to be established in Mykolaiv. This will involve merging several existing medical facilities.
On 23 June, the city's deputy commission on housing, communal services and municipal property approved draft decisions on the reorganisation of medical institutions in Mykolaiv. According to the documents, maternity hospital №3 and children's hospital №2 are proposed to be merged with hospital №3, and emergency hospital and hospital № 1 with hospital №4.
