Fourth prisoner exchange in a week: fighters captured in 2022 return home

On Saturday, 14 June, the fourth exchange took place in the last week. Ukraine has returned from Russian captivity some of the military who were imprisoned in 2022.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Among those released are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the State Special Transport Service, many of whom have been in captivity since 2022.
«It is imperative that we release all of them, and we are working to do just that, to leave no one behind. I thank everyone who helps», Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
As a reminder, on Monday, 9 June, the Marines returned to Ukraine as a result of the prisoner exchange . On that day, the first stage of the new prisoner exchange took place. Ukrainian defenders under the age of 25, including wounded and seriously wounded, were returned.
Prisoner exchange in the format «1000 for 1000»
During negotiations in Turkey on 16 May, the Ukrainian and Russian delegations agreed to conduct a large-scale exchange of prisoners in the format of «1000 for 1000».
As a reminder, on Friday, as part of the first stage of the exchange, Ukraine returned 390 people — 270 military and 120 civilians. After that, on 24 May, another 307 servicemen returned to Ukraine as part of the second stage of the exchange.
On Sunday, 25 May, the third stage of the exchange was completed. Another 303 Ukrainian defenders were returned home.
