Saved his brother from a fire: a teenager from Mykolaiv region received a Presidential award «The Future of Ukraine»

Dmytro Amalskyi rescued his brother from a fire. Photo: SESDmytro Amalskyi from Mykolaiv region, who saved his brother from a fire, was awarded the Presidential decoration «Future of Ukraine».
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the relevant decree №356/2025 on 30 May.
The document states that the young man receives the award for personal bravery, courage and resilience.
«For demonstrating personal courage, bravery, resilience, patriotism, active citizenship, volunteerism, defending human values, national interests of Ukraine, its development and a decent future,» the decree says.
As a reminder, on 11 January this year, a fire broke out in the house of the Amalskyi family. At the time of the fire, Dmitriy's younger brother was in one of the rooms. The boy pulled the child out of the room, handed him to his mother, and then tried to extinguish the fire on his own before the rescuers arrived.
