This summer, the resort town of Kobleve will once again be without tourists at sea - the military has banned the opening of the beach and the clearing of mines from the coast.

This is stated in the article NikVesti «The sea is under ban. Where is it safe to relax in Mykolaiv region in summer?»

Mykola Marinov, deputy head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration for Tourism, said that even the most remote coasts from the occupied Kinburn Spit remain dangerous.

«We have been working on the issue of opening the sea with both the military and business, but due to the mine danger, it is now impossible. The sea coast remains mined. Even the most remote areas remain dangerous. That is why we are out of the question to open beaches at sea this season,» said Mykola Marinov.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, 90% of the coastal areas remain inaccessible to holidaymakers this year.

The head of the Kobleve community and businesses tried to defend the opening of the sea beaches, but, as Mykola Marinov notes, even the greatest efforts cannot overcome the threats posed by the hostilities.

We are not currently clearing the sea coast of mines as there is no permit for this work.

«As soon as the military situation allows, we will be able to start the work. At the moment, it is impossible to open seaside resorts,» said Mykola Marinov.

In February, Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, said that the region was preparing to open the beach season in summer 2025, if security conditions allow.
