The Ukrainian government has increased the amount of grants under the «Vlasna Sprava» programme to 500,000 hryvnias for farmers who work or plan to start a business in the frontline regions. Mykolaiv region is among these areas.

Local farmers and agricultural producers can now count on more substantial financial support to develop their businesses, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In addition to Mykolaiv region, entrepreneurs in seven other regions will have this opportunity:

  • Kherson
  • Donetsk
  • Dnipro
  • Zaporizhzhia
  • Chernihiv
  • Sumy

According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitalii Koval, the increase in the size of the grants will allow for a better spring sowing campaign and revive the economy of rural communities.

It is noted that the grants can be used to purchase or lease equipment, purchase raw materials or rent premises. Both existing entrepreneurs and those who are just planning to start their own business can apply.

Under the terms of the programme, the recipient of a grant of 300,000 hryvnias must create one job, and two jobs for 500,000 hryvnias.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv farmers received 13.3 million hryvnias in compensation for 25% of the cost of agricultural machinery under the government programme.

It should also be noted that since the beginning of 2025, farmers in Mykolaiv region have attracted financial support for the development of their farms. Under various loan programmes, they received 341.5 million hryvnias, which was allocated to 14 enterprises.
