Influenza is receding: in Mykolaiv region, the incidence rate has decreased by almost 21%

Between 31 March and 6 April, 2,829 patients fell ill with influenza and acute respiratory viral infections, including one with covid. This is almost 21% less than the previous week.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the incidence rate fell below the epidemic threshold by 46%.

It is noted that children were the most sick — more than 58%.

Last week, 92 patients with influenza and ARVI were hospitalised in the region, including one with confirmed COVID-19.

As a reminder, from 24 to 30 March, 3,566 patients fell ill with influenza in Mykolaiv region, with the incidence rate below the epidemic threshold by more than 32%.
