70% of medical facilities damaged in Kherson region since the beginning of full-scale war

In Kherson region, 116 medical facilities have been damaged since the start of the full-scale invasion, accounting for 70.7% of the total number of healthcare facilities in the region.

This is stated in the Programme of Socio-Economic and Cultural Development of the Region for 2025, published on the website of the Kherson Regional State Administration (KRSA).

• 32 outpatient clinics,
• 51 paramedic and obstetric stations (FAPs) and paramedic stations (PSs),
• 7 other medical institutions.

As a result of hostilities, 26 healthcare facilities were destroyed, three of which have been fully restored: Kucherka, Maryanka and Oleksandrivka rural health posts.

In total, as of today, 56 facilities (39.2% of the damaged ones) have been partially or fully restored. Restoration works are ongoing in 33 of them, although 3 facilities have been damaged again. 23 facilities have been fully restored, one of which was also damaged for the second time.

«Medical facilities are being restored with the support of charitable organisations, foundations and other entities. In 20 settlements where medical facilities were severely damaged, 28 medical modular outpatient clinics, mobile units and trailers were delivered to provide medical care to the population,» the report says.

In addition, design and estimate documentation has been developed for five institutions — Davydiv Brid, Borozenske, Vysokopillia and Ivanivka outpatient clinics, as well as the Posad Pokrovske Security Centre.

As a reminder, medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast are only 33% staffed with qualified doctors.
