In the Mykolaiv region, an increase in domestic violence complaints was recorded, especially among families where parents returned from the war.

Nataliya Menshova, the chief specialist of the guardianship and care sector of the Children's Service of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, informed about this during the briefing.

«We process a lot of appeals regarding the protection of children's rights, and recently specifically regarding domestic violence. These are the main appeals received today. And it's a shame, but they are often related to those parents who returned from military operations,» Natalya Menshova said.

She noted that there are psychologists working in the region who provide consultations and comprehensive assistance to families and children who have suffered from violence.

«Psychologists are working, counseling is provided, comprehensive assistance is provided to these families in order to save them. They work with both parents and children,» Nataliia Menshova added.

We will remind that this year 31 orphans and children deprived of parental care were adopted in the Mykolaiv region.

Every year in the Mykolayiv region, there is a decrease in the number of orphans and children deprived of parental care. Today, there are 2,488 children deprived of parental care in the region.

Nine foster families are also registered in Mykolaiv Oblast, where 24 children are raised.
