The Russians plan to open a so-called museum in the destroyed center of occupied Mariupol.

On February 2, the Mariupol City Council announced this by publishing a video of the «project».

«Putin's flunkies — the Russian party «United Russia» and the organization «Young Guard» are going to create a «museum», the message states.

As you know, restoration works are already underway. According to the visualization, part of the «museum» is planned to be painted in the colors of the Russian tricolor and the flag of the so-called «DNR».

«Visitors are going to be shown bloody «trophies» stolen from the occupied territories, «patriotic» films and make exhibitions about the «liberation» of Mariupol in the spring of 2022,» the city council reported.

Vadym Boichenko, the mayor of Mariupol, noted that the Russians are trying to do everything to plant a distorted reality and hide their own crimes.

«They organize propaganda events, shoot films, try to organize exhibitions in which they present themselves as «liberators» and make Ukraine the culprit of the Mariupol tragedy. But the people of Mariupol know the truth that it was the Russians who attacked our city, blockaded it, completely destroyed it and killed tens of thousands of Mariupol families. We must convey this to the world, counter Russian propaganda,» said Vadym Boichenko.

We will remind, on January 20, an event was held in the Italian city of Modena, at which they talked about the «rapid process of restoration under the auspices of the Russian Federation» of occupied Mariupol. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is already preparing an official appeal.

The occupiers also plan to install a previously dismantled monument to Volodymyr Lenin in the center of temporarily occupied Mariupol.
