President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Ministry of Defense together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should implement a medical information system in military units by the end of the year. This will make the process of treating the wounded more transparent and understandable.

He made such a statement at the first annual International Congress on Military Medicine and Mental Health «Warrior: Life, Health, Combat Capability».

According to the president, this system is necessary for every military medic and every serviceman. Deputy Minister of Defense Nataliia Kalmykova noted that the electronic system will allow doctors to see all the medical care received by a wounded soldier of the Armed Forces. She emphasized that this will allow a better understanding of the situation at all stages of treatment and more efficient planning of resources.

Thanks to the new system, military doctors will be able to review all medical manipulations performed on the wounded in electronic form. At the moment, information about the patient is available only in the form of a paper extract, which is brought by the wounded, explained the doctor of the military hospital, Olha Shchehliuk.

We will remind, together with NATO, Ukraine will complete the creation of five modern rehabilitation centers of the «Renovator» project for the military.
