The RMA reminded that within the framework of cooperation with Germany, on February 20, the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and the Government of the Land of Lower Saxony signed a Joint Statement on Partnership Cooperation Intentions. It provides for humanitarian aid, economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of science, education, culture, and exchange of knowledge and experience in the development of the two cities.

Also, the Mykolayiv region is one of the ten that implements the Ukraine/EU Special Assistance Program for Sustainable Regions (SAP). This is one of the projects that the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) implements in Ukraine. Its purpose is to support authorized governmental and non-governmental institutions in selected regions of Ukraine to provide a need-based service for basic care and protection of the population.

It will be recalled that on the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 24, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbok arrived in Odesa with an unannounced visit.
