This was announced by Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.
Santiago de Cali is one of the largest cities in Colombia, known for its culture, universities and modern infrastructure. The agreement envisages cooperation in the areas of urban governance, waste management, preservation of historical heritage and community involvement in the city's development.
«Despite thousands of kilometres of distance, our cities have a lot in common: the desire for development, sustainability and creating a comfortable space for people», said Oleksandr Sienkevych.
Santiago de Cali became the 29th partner city of Mykolaiv. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the city has signed 17 new twinning agreements.
As a reminder, the Kingdom of Denmark is considering using the territory of the state-owned enterprise «Mykolaiv Shipyard» (formerly the 61 Communards Plant, — note) as a public space.
