Odesa region among leaders in terms of the number of companies on the NSDC sanctions list

In Ukraine, 197 companies are on the sanctions list of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC). As of mid-September this year, Odesa region is among the three leading regions by the number of defendants.

This is evidenced by the analytical data of Opendatabot, according to «NikVesti ».

The largest number of sanctioned companies is in Kyiv — 112 enterprises. There are 17 in Odesa region and 12 in Lviv region. In addition, there are 9 in Chernivtsi and Donetsk regions. In Mykolaiv region, there are only 3 such companies.

It is noted that the company «UKR GAME TECHNOLOGIES», operating under the Pin-Up brand, was able to earn more than UAH 1.9 billion last year. High Voltage Union-RZVA (71.3 million hryvnias), Mashzavod (56.7 million hryvnias), Tysagaz (41.1 million hryvnias), and Auto-Mat (19 million hryvnias) also declared significant revenues.

In 2024 alone, 123 companies were added to the sanctions list, which is more than 62% of all those currently on the list. For comparison, 38 companies were added in 2021, 20 in 2022, 11 in 2023, and only 5 in 2025.

Most of the companies on the list are sanctioned until 2027 (103 companies). For 10 companies, the restrictions are valid until 2026, for 40 — until 2034. Some companies will remain under sanctions for life: 28 are under indefinite sanctions, and another 7 are under sanctions until 2073.

At the same time, the list is gradually being updated: 32 companies have had their sanctions lifted, and another 217 have had their sanctions expire after the specified period. Among those who dropped out, M.S.L. (over 310 million hryvnias), «Interim» (95.5 million hryvnias) and «Patriot» (43 million hryvnias) showed the highest revenues in 2024.

The most commonly sanctioned businesses are those in the wholesale trade (31%), construction (9.6%), information services and media production (4.1% each), and gambling (3.6%) sectors.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions on individuals and companies involved in the production of attack drones for Russia. The list includes 87 entities, most of them from Russia.
