Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitrii Medvedev has said that allowing NATO countries to shoot down Russian drones over Ukraine would mean a war between the Alliance and Moscow.
This was reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak , responded to this statement. He stressed that «to avoid shooting down drones, they should not be launched».
According to him, such a position would demonstrate Russia's desire to end the war. Instead, it continues attacks and wants to be unhindered in its killing spree. Andrii Yermak added that Ukraine responds to this by striking at the territory of Russia itself.
As a reminder, after Russian drones invaded the country' s airspace, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski suggested that Western allies intercept Russian drones and missiles in Ukrainian airspace.
In addition, Polish anti-drone units will receive training from Ukrainian operators to strengthen their defence against Russian attacks.
