US President Donald Trump said he was satisfied with his telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 4 July.
On board the presidential plane, Donald Trump told reporters that the conversation was «good and strategic». According to him, the parties discussed «various issues», writes «Evropeiska Pravda».
«I think it was a very good conversation, a very strategic conversation,» he said.
Commenting on the possibility of further military assistance to Ukraine, Donald Trump emphasised: «We have been helping them and we will continue to help them». Regarding the prospects of transferring Patriot air defence systems, he said: «Yes, it is possible».
As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the conversation with Donald Trump, noting that the American president is well aware of the situation at the front and air threats. The parties agreed to work on expanding Ukraine's air defence capabilities.
Before that, Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin. It lasted about an hour. Afterwards, he said that he was «very disappointed» and did not believe that Vladimir Putin would stop the invasion.
