US President Donald Trump has said that the United States has not stopped supplying weapons to Ukraine.
He told reporters about this during a conversation at the Andrews Air Force Base in Washington.
According to him, Washington continues to provide military assistance, despite the fact that a significant portion of the US stockpile has already been exhausted.
«We have not stopped, we are providing weapons. But we have provided so much... and we are trying to help them. Biden has devastated our entire country by providing weapons, and we have to make sure we have enough weapons for ourselves,» Donald Trump said.
Earlier, the German newspaper Bild reported, citing military experts, that Ukraine would have a sufficient supply of US weapons to repel Russian attacks only by the end of the summer. The journalists reported that the White House had suspended the supply of a number of important ammunition and missiles to Ukraine.
It should also be noted that despite the expiration of the previous aid package to Ukraine, approved under President Joe Biden, the White House and the US Congress are not actually discussing new support.
In addition, Pentagon chief Pete Hagel said that the White House plans to cut the budget for security assistance to Ukraine in 2026.
