US President Donald Trump told reporters that Vladimir Putin has no intention of ending the war.
He said this in a commentary to media representatives, according to «Ukrainska Pravda».
According to Donald Trump, after talking to the Russian president, he was «very disappointed» and does not believe that Vladimir Putin will stop the invasion. The politician also reiterated his thesis that there would have been no war if he had remained president.
«I am very disappointed with the conversation. I don't think he's going to stop. And it's a shame. It's all Biden, it's his war,» the American president said.
The conversation lasted about an hour. According to Russian Presidential aide Yurii Ushakov, Trump again raised the issue of ending the war against Ukraine as soon as possible. In response, Vladimir Putin allegedly told him that Russia «would achieve its goal and would not back down from it». At the same time, Putin noted in his conversation with Trump that Russia was ready to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
Also recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he did not rule out the possibility of peace talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but questioned his right to sign any international agreements.
