«At the moment, I am against Ukraine's accession to the European Union», said Karol Nawrocki.

He also emphasised that Poland should support Ukraine «from a strategic and geopolitical point of view». At the same time, he said, Kyiv should understand that other countries, including Poland and Hungary, also have their own interests.

At the same time, he stressed that «is very critical of» Russia — and called it «a post-imperial, neo-communist state led by war criminal Vladimir Putin». He also called Russia the main threat to Poland.

«It is a post-imperial, neo-communist state led by Vladimir Putin, a war criminal. I am very critical of the Russian Federation, where, by the way, I am being persecuted as the president of the Institute of National Remembrance. I face five years in prison», said Karol Nawrocki.

As a reminder, the director of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Nawrocki, won the second round of the presidential election in Poland on 1 June. He received 50.89% of the vote.
